Bruins coach Joe Sacco provided a new update on this defenseman.
Boston Bruins defenseman Hampus Lindholm has not played since the club's Nov. 12 contest against the St. Louis Blues. He suffered a lower-body injury after blocking a shot from Blues defenseman Justin Faulk, which has kept him sidelined since.
With the Bruins returning to practice, head coach Joe Sacco offered a new update on Lindholm's current status.
"With Hampus, we're still waiting," Sacco said. "He's hopefully gonna have something set up with our medical staff here over the next day or two, and we will find out where he is at. We'll have more clarity after that."
Sacco also shared that Lindholm has not suffered any setbacks, which is encouraging. The left-shot defenseman was also spotted skating following the club's practice.
It would be excellent for the Bruins if Lindholm is given the green light to play soon. They are in a crucial part of the campaign, as they are fighting to regain a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Thus, they need every point they can get, so getting one of their top blueliners back would be significant.
In 17 games this season with the Bruins, Lindholm has three goals, seven points, and a minus-4 rating.
