Bruins' David Pastrnak & Brad Marchand Deny Rumored Rift

Bruins superstars David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand poured cold water on the rumor that they have an ongoing rift.

On Friday morning, a rumor emerged that Boston Bruins superstar David Pastrnak told head coach Joe Sacco that he does not want to play on the same line as captain Brad Marchand

On his WEEI show, Rich Keefe said this on the matter: "The locker room is a disaster, and David Pastrnak is at the center of that. David Pastrnak has told the team he doesn’t want to be on a line with Brad Marchand, and it may stem from Brad Marchand calling out Pastrnak for some of his play."

However, at the Bruins' latest practice, Pastrnak made it clear to the Boston Globe's Jim McBride that this is untrue and that he loves playing with Marchand.

"I've never in my life said I don't want to play with this guy to the coaching staff or management, and I never would," Pastrnak said. "I love playing with Marchy. I've been playing with him for so long."

Marchand also denied the rumor and had this to say about Pastrnak to McBridge: "We're best friends."

Pastrnak and Marchand handled this situation in a great way and stopped the rumor from becoming a bigger deal in the process. The best friends will now look to get the Bruins' season back on track from here.
