All eyes should be on David Pastrnak this upcoming season.
Boston Bruins superstar forward David Pastrnak had another strong season in 2025-26. While he scored just 29 goals, he recorded a career-high 71 assists and hit the 100-point mark for the fourth consecutive season. With that, he was certainly a big reason why the Bruins made it back into the playoffs in 2025-26.
Now, Pastrnak has a very good chance of hitting a major milestone during the 2026-27 campaign.
At the time of this writing, Pastrnak sits at 933 career points. With that, he needs only 67 more points to hit 1,000 in his career.
When noting that Pastrnak is coming off four straight seasons with at least 100 points, he should have zero trouble getting his 1,000th career NHL point this upcoming season if he can stay healthy.
Only four players in Bruins history have recorded 1,000 points as a member of the Original Six club: Ray Bourque (1,506, 1,518 GP), Johnny Bucyk (1,339, 1,436 GP), Patrice Bergeron (1,040, 1,294 GP), and Phil Esposito (1,012, 625 GP).
Brad Marchand came just short of reaching 1,000 points with the Bruins, as he recorded 976 in 1,090 games before being traded to the Florida Panthers during the 2024-25 season.
With that, it is going to be a significant deal once Pasta gets his 1,000th point as a Bruin.
