This is certainly promising news for the Bruins.

The Boston Bruins play the Buffalo Sabres on Jan. 28. The Bruins are in an incredibly tight Eastern Conference wild-card race and need as many wins as they can get.

There's a chance the Bruins could get a boost against the Sabres, as head coach Joe Sacco told reporters following Jan. 27's practice that Cole Koepke is "an option" for the matchup.

Koepke has missed each of the Bruins' last five games due to injury. The 26-year-old winger suffered his injury after receiving a big hit from former Tampa Bay Lightning teammate Darren Raddysh on Jan. 14.

The Bruins have undoubtedly missed Koepke in their bottom six, so it would be excellent if he is given the green light to play against Buffalo. In 44 contests this season, the 6-foot-1 forward has set new career highs with seven goals, five assists, 12 points, and 99 hits.
