Bruins Give Positive Injury Update About Star

Bruins head coach Joe Sacco provided a positive update about this blueliner.

On Tuesday, the Boston Bruins placed defenseman Hampus Lindholm on long-term injured reserve. He has not played since Nov. 12 after suffering a lower-body injury by blocking a shot from St. Louis Blues blueliner Justin Faulk.  

Following the Bruins' morning skate today, coach Joe Sacco provided a positive update about Lindholm.

"No setback," Sacco said. "Hampus is making good progress. He's skating with John McLean right now. The next step will obviously be for him to join us. Maybe for portions of our practice. Maybe the beginning of practice. Whenever that time is, but he's making good progress still."

Hearing that Lindholm is continuing to trend in the right direction is excellent news for the Bruins. He is a huge part of the club's top four, and they have undoubtedly missed him. Their recent struggles make that abundantly clear. 

Lindholm still has more work to do in his recovery before he can get back into game action. However, it is terrific that he could very well return to regular team practice in the near future.
