Here is the Bruins' projected lineup against the Sharks.
The Boston Bruins are back on the ice this afternoon to face the San Jose Sharks. After an ugly shootout loss to the Ottawa Senators last game, the Bruins will aim to bounce back and secure two points.
Since the Bruins' last loss, the Senators and Montreal Canadiens have both jumped in front of them in the Atlantic Division standings. Thus, a win against the rebuilding Sharks is crucial.
The Bruins are expected to make some changes to their lines for this matchup against the Sharks. Matt Poitras will move up to the second-line center spot, with Brad Marchand and Charlie Coyle as his wingers. Elias Lindholm, on the other hand, is expected to slot in as the third-line center. Pavel Zacha, absent last practice due to a maintenance day, is also expected to play against the Sharks.

Bruins forward Trent Frederic will also not be in the lineup due to an illness. Oliver Wahlstrom will replace him on the third line.
The Bruins' blueline is also expected to be different. Andrew Peeke skated on the top pairing with Nikita Zadorov last practice, while Brandon Carlo was dropped down to the second pairing with Parker Wotherspoon. Meanwhile, Charlie McAvoy will be out again due to injury.
Here is the Bruins' full projected lineup.
