The Bruins have a great opportunity for their contest against the Devils.
The Boston Bruins are back on the ice tonight to face the New Jersey Devils. They are confidently entering this contest, having won their last game 6-3 over the San Jose Sharks.
The Devils, on the other hand, are experiencing some mid-season struggles. The Metropolitan Division club is currently on a four-game losing streak and has only won twice in its last 10 contests.
This game against the Devils is significant for the Bruins. If the Bruins win against New Jersey, it would tremendously help their placement in the standings.

At the time of this writing, the Bruins are tied with the Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens with 52 points. The Bruins are also behind the Tampa Bay Lightning by just one point for the third-place spot in the Atlantic Division. Thus, a win would have them pass all three division rivals in the standings.
The Bruins are in an incredibly tight Eastern Conference playoff race, so every point matters. Thus, a win against the Devils would be significant for them, as it would allow them to jump up in the standings. This is especially so when noting that the Bruins will also be playing the Senators tomorrow night as well.
It will be intriguing to see if the Bruins can defeat the Devils from here. It will not be an easy task, as even with their struggles, the Devils have a 26-17-6 record and are still one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference.
