The Bruins need to pull off a win against the Senators.

The Boston Bruins are back on the ice today to face the Ottawa Senators. After winning each of their last two games, the Bruins' goal is to stay hot. 

This game is also one of the Bruins' biggest games of the season thus far. The Senators trail the Bruins by just one point for the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference. Hence, it is incredibly important for the Bruins to secure a win, especially with the Senators having two games in hand. 

A regulation win against the Senators would make the Bruins three points ahead of their division rival. This would be significant, as it would give the Bruins a bit more breathing room in the standings. In addition, they would have the same amount of points as the third-place Tampa Bay Lightning in the Atlantic Division standings. 

However, Ottawa will pass Boston in the standings if they defeat the Original Six club in regulation. If this occurs, the Bruins will no longer hold a playoff spot.

Thus, it is crucial for the Bruins to get two points against the Senators. We will need to wait and see if they can do just that from here.
