The Bruins are reportedly still in the mix for Dylan Larkin.
The Boston Bruins are continuing to be connected to Detroit Red Wings star center Dylan Larkin.
According to The Athletic's Chris Johnston, the Bruins are still interested in making a trade for Larkin if he adds them to his trade list.
"There’s certainly interest in Larkin, but none of the best-positioned buyers are currently part of his 10-team list of acceptable destinations. The Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins are among those willing to pull the trigger if Larkin expands that list to include them," Johnston wrote on Nov. 2.
Hearing that the Bruins are still interested in Larkin despite not being on the Red Wings forward's trade list right now is understandable. They need another true top-six center, and landing a star like Larkin would provide them with just that.
Yet, there is no guarantee that Larkin will eventually add the Bruins to his trade list. Thus, the Bruins can remain interested, but they won't be a true potential landing spot for him unless he becomes open to coming to Boston.
It will be interesting to see if Larkin ends up adding the Bruins to his current trade list as he remains with the Red Wings.
In 10 games this season, Larkin has posted two goals, six points, and a plus-3 rating. This is after he had 33 goals and 67 points in 74 games during the 2025-26 season.
