This Bruins signing has been a real steal for Boston.

The Boston Bruins picked up a solid 4-0 win against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday. With this, they improved to a 20-14-4 record and now trail the Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers by just two points for the top spots in the Atlantic Division.

Bruins forward Cole Koepke contributed to the win, scoring an incredible goal during the third period to give Boston a 4-0 lead.

After the Blue Jackets turned the puck over in the Bruins' end, Koepke secured it and skated it to the offensive zone. From there, he beat Blue Jackets goalie Daniil Tarasov top shelf with a perfectly placed shot.

With this, Koepke has improved his new career highs to six goals and 11 points in 36 games this season. When noting that the Two Harbors, Minnesota native inked a one-year, two-way contract this off-season and was expected to be just a depth player for Boston, there is no question that he has been a big surprise.

Koepke's strong play this season has made him a mainstay in the Bruins' bottom six. He has not only given them a nice amount of secondary scoring but has also made an impact because of his physicality. At this juncture of the campaign, he has an impressive 77 hits.

Overall, it is hard not to like what Koepke has provided the Bruins this season, especially at his incredibly affordable $775,000 cap hit. Let's see what else he can do from here.
