This Bruins forward is being viewed as one of the top free agents of this summer.
Viktor Arvidsson had an excellent season with the Boston Bruins in 2025-26. In 69 games this season with the Black and Gold, he had 25 goals, 29 assists, 54 points, and a plus-20 rating. This is after he had 15 goals and 27 points in 67 games with the Edmonton Oilers during the 2024-25 season.
Arvidsson's bounce-back season with the Bruins came at a great time. This is because he is now entering the summer as a pending unrestricted free agent (UFA) and has improved his value.
Arvidsson's season has now earned some praise, too. This is because The Athletic's Chris Johnston included Arvidsson on his latest top 20 pending UFA rankings.
Arvidsson was given the No. 18 spot on Johnston's pending UFA rankings. When noting that Arvidsson proved that he can still be an impactful top-six winger this season, it is understandable that he is being considered one of this summer's best pending UFAs.
Yet, if the Bruins have it their way, they will be able to keep Arvidsson around with a contract extension before he has the chance to test the free-agent market. The 33-year-old winger was one of the major reasons behind the Bruins turning things back around this season due to how well he fit into their top six.
However, if Arvidsson ends up testing the free-agent market, he should generate plenty of interest around the league. Time will tell what happens between the Bruins and Arvidsson from here.
