Bruins head coach Marco Sturm had some praise for Jeremy Swayman.

While things got a little dicey at the end for the Boston Bruins in Game 2, they still picked up a 4-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres. This was a crucial game for the Bruins to win, as they have now tied the series up at 1-1 as they head back to Boston for Games 3 and 4.

Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman's smart thinking in Game 2 warrants praise, as he notably urged head coach Marco Sturm to call a timeout after the Black and Gold allowed two quick, unanswered goals in the third period. This decision ultimately paid off, as the Bruins settled down after this and shut the door.

Following the game, Sturm had some serious praise for Swayman's leadership while speaking to reporters.

"He's a big part of it. If you have a goalie like that, he doesn't have to have the 'C' or an 'A' on him," Sturm said. "We know he's a big part of our team. He's a big leader. He's been through it, those ups and downs. He's been very quiet, but when he speaks, we all listen. Again, he's been unbelievable all year long."

Hearing Sturm praise Swayman is entirely understandable, as he has been a major reason for Boston's success all season. This has certainly translated over to the playoffs, as he now has a .931 save percentage in two games this series.

It will be interesting to see how Swayman performs from here, but it is clear that the 27-year-old has had a strong start to the first round.
