Geekie has earned a shout-out.
Boston Bruins forward Morgan Geekie has landed a big shout-out after his strong 2025-26 season.
This is because The Hockey News' Adam Proteau included Geekie on his top 80 NHL player rankings.
Geekie just made the cut, as given the No. 80 spot by Proteau. While this is the case, it is still a big accomplishment for the 28-year-old to be named among the NHL's best players.
"The Bruins need more generational talent, but in Geekie, they've discovered and developed a legitimately elite scoring threat to be part of their core," Proteau wrote.
When looking at the season Geekie had in 2025-26, it makes sense that he has made this list. In 81 games last season for Boston, he set career highs with 39 goals, 29 assists, and 68 points. This was after he had 33 goals and 57 points in 77 games for Boston during the 2024-25 season.
Now, Geekie will be looking to have himself another strong season in 2026-27. If he can once again be a 30-goal scorer for Boston this campaign, it would be big for a Bruins club that is looking to make the playoffs again.
