This Bruins forward is in the middle of a serious cold streak.
The Boston Bruins have won seven out of their last nine games. A big reason for it has been the improved play of several of their important players, like Brad Marchand, Pavel Zacha, Trent Frederic, and Charlie McAvoy.
However, Bruins' top summer signing, Elias Lindholm, is still trying to break through his latest cold streak.
After posting three assists against the New York Islanders on Nov. 27, Lindholm has not gotten on the scoresheet in five straight contests. He has also not scored a goal in eight straight contests, with his last occurring on Nov. 21 against the Utah Hockey Club. Before then, he did not score a goal in 17 straight games and had just four assists over that span.
The Bruins signed Lindholm to a seven-year, $54.25 million contract this off-season with the expectation that he would be one of their top offensive contributors. However, he has not been that yet early on in his Bruins tenure.

However, given Lindholm's previous success, there is reason to believe that he can break through for the Bruins. He notably had 22 goals and 64 points with the Calgary Flames in 2022-23. During the season before with Calgary, he set career highs with 42 goals and 82 points. Thus, he has the potential to be an impactful offensive player.
Lindholm will look to get through his ongoing slump when the Bruins go up against the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday (Dec. 10). We will need to wait and see if he can do just that from here.
