The Bruins should strongly consider having James Hagens play on a line with these two breakout forwards.

The Boston Bruins made a major move earlier this week when they signed forward James Hagens to a three-year entry-level contract. With Hagens being the Bruins' top prospect, there is no question that it is exciting that he is joining the NHL club.

The timing of Hagens joining the Bruins' roster also makes sense. They have gone ice-cold as they are looking to secure a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, as they have lost four straight games. Thus, it is understandable that they have officially signed Hagens to give them another option to consider at forward.

When looking at the Bruins' current roster, one forward line that the Bruins should strongly consider trying out is Hagens, Fraser Minten, and Marat Khusnutdinov.

If this line came to fruition, Hagens would get the chance to play with two young forwards who are both enjoying breakout seasons. It would be cool to see this trio unite, as they are all promising young forwards with skill.

The Bruins have been having trouble finding an answer for their third-line left wing spot as the season carries on, too. Players like Alex Steeves and Mikey Eyssimont have struggled with consistency, so it would make sense if the Bruins gave Hagens a chance on it, with Minten and Khusnutdinov as his linemates.
