The Boston Bruins are set to play their opening night matchup against the Florida Panthers tonight.
Leading up to this matchup, there were some questions surrounding who the Bruins' starting goalie would be. This was because head coach Jim Montgomery said that it was possible the recently signed Jeremy Swayman could be the club's starter for the contest.
However, the Bruins have officially revealed that Joonas Korpisalo will be the club's starting goaltender against the Panthers.
Korpisalo will now look to leave a strong first impression with the Bruins. He certainly has a tough test ahead of him, as the Panthers are the reigning Stanley Cup champions. We will need to wait and see how well he performs for the Original Six club from here.
