Bruins Place Struggling Forward On Waivers

The Boston Bruins have placed one of their forwards on waivers.

The Hockey News' Emma Lingan and Michael Augello break down the latest Brad Marchand buzz.

According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Boston Bruins have placed forward Max Jones on waivers.

Jones signed a two-year, $2 million contract with the Bruins during this past off-season. The hope was that he would cement himself as a key part of the Bruins' bottom six. However, he has primarily been an extra forward for the Original Six club this campaign.

Jones has been scratched for all but four games this season. During them, he recorded zero points, eight penalty minutes, eight hits, and a minus-4 rating. Overall, his start with the Bruins has not been the best, and he finds himself on waivers because of it.

Teams looking for more physicality and toughness in their bottom six could take a flier on the former first-round pick. If he clears, we will head down to the AHL and play for the Providence Bruins.
