Boston Bruins prospect Ty Gallagher had a solid 2024-25 season with Colorado College after spending the three previous campaigns with Boston University. In 37 games with Colorado College last season, the right-shot defenseman had nine goals and 26 points.
Following the end of Colorado College's season, Gallagher signed a two-year AHL contract with the Providence Bruins and had one goal and five points in 11 games to finish off the 2024-25 campaign.
Now, Gallagher is in his first full season with Providence, and it is fair to say that he is having himself a solid campaign. In 31 games with the AHL squad on the year, he has seven goals, 11 assists, 18 points, and a plus-11 rating. With this, the Clarkston, Michigan native has provided Providence with some solid offense from the point this season.
However, what's more encouraging is that Gallagher is only getting better as the season carries on.
Gallagher has been red-hot for Providence as of late, as he has five points in his last two games alone. This included him recording a hat trick against the Hartford Wolf Pack on March 14 and then having two assists against the Springfield Thunderbirds on March 15.
Gallagher also has 11 points over his last seven games, so he is simply playing some fantastic hockey for Providence right now. If he continues to play this well for Providence down the stretch, it would undoubtedly create more excitement about his future with the Black and Gold.
