A former Boston Bruins draft pick is moving on from hockey.

According to The Boston Globe's Kevin Paul Dupont, Bruins prospect Mason Langenbrunner is retiring from hockey.

"A Bruins draft pick (2020, No. 151), Mason opted to retire his skates while pursuing a business path as a partner in a couple of start-up companies," Dupont wrote

Langenbrunner played for Harvard University from 2022-23 until this past season. In 130 games over four seasons with the school, the 6-foot-3 defenseman recorded nine goals, 17 assists, and 26 points.

Langenbrunner was also Harvard's captain during this past season. In 32 games with the school in 2025-26, he recorded two goals, eight assists, and 10 points.

Langenbrunner was one of four selections made by the Bruins during the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The other players selected by Boston that year were Mason Lohrei, Trevor Kuntar, and Riley Duran. Lohrei and Duran remain with the Bruins organization, while Kuntar made his NHL debut last season with the Buffalo Sabres.
