After an 8-1 loss to the Jets, the Bruins should consider recalling this prospect.
Reality hit the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night (Dec. 10), as they lost to a very good Winnipeg Jets team by an 8-1 final score. With this, they should consider making a roster move to try to spark the club.
Forward Matthew Poitras stands out immensely when looking at potential call-up options from the Providence Bruins. The 20-year-old forward is dominating the American Hockey League (AHL) and is undoubtedly making a case to be recalled.
Since being sent down to Providence, Poitras has four goals, 11 points, and a plus-6 rating. However, he has been playing spectacularly as of late, posting eight points over his last five contests. He also has scored in four consecutive games, including in Providence's last matchup against the Bridgeport Islanders on Dec. 11.

With Poitras thriving and the Bruins needing help offensively, now seems like the perfect time for Boston to give him another chance on the NHL roster. Let's see if he gets recalled soon here.
