The Bruins need to get things back on track during this final stretch.

The Boston Bruins ended the month of March on a major heater. The Black and Gold won by winning six out of their final seven games, and they put themselves in a good spot in the playoff race because of it. This included them ending the month with four straight wins over the Buffalo Sabres, Minnesota Wild, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Dallas Stars.

Yet, since the start of April, the Bruins have been a completely different team. The Bruins have lost each of their first four games of the month. While the Bruins are still in a good place in the playoff race, it is still concerning that they are continuing to lose down the stretch.

During the first three games of their ongoing losing streak, the Bruins scored one goal in each contest. They then found their scoring touch on Tuesday night, but fell to the Carolina Hurricanes in overtime by a 6-5 final score. Jeremy Swayman was pulled against the Canes, as he allowed five goals on just 23 shots.

Whether it's a lack of offense or shaky defensive play, things have not been going well for the Bruins down the stretch. They will need to sharpen up during their final three games of the regular season.
