The Boston Bruins suffered a tough 3-2 loss against the New York Rangers on Feb. 5. After entering the third period with a 2-1 lead, the Bruins allowed the Rangers to score two unanswered goals. Chris Kreider's game-winner for the Blueshirts came while the Bruins were on the power play, too.

Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy recorded an assist in the loss against the Rangers, extending his ongoing point streak to three games. With this, he hit a major career milestone.

McAvoy's assist on David Pastrnak's second-period goal was the 300th point of his career. It took McAvoy 503 games for him to hit this impressive stat.

While McAvoy is best known for his steady defensive play, he has also provided solid offense throughout his career. His hitting 300 points at this stage undoubtedly shows that.

In 503 career games over eight seasons as a Bruin, McAvoy now has 60 goals, 240 assists, 881 blocks, 907 hits, and a plus-144 rating.
