After a rough start to the season, this Bruins goalie is heating back up.
After a long off-season of contract negotiations, Boston Bruins star Jeremy Swayman agreed to an eight-year, $66 million contract with the Original Six club right before the start of the season. Following signing his big deal, Swayman struggled significantly.
The worst point of Swayman's season was when he allowed seven goals against the Dallas Stars on Nov. 14 and then five goals against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Nov. 18 in his next start. However, ever since then, Swayman has been starting to turn things around big time.
Swayman has not allowed more than three goals in each of his last five starts and has had a .909 save percentage or better in four of them. He has a 3-2-0 record over that span, but it is crucial to note that the Bruins only scored one goal in the two games he lost. Thus, those losses were not on Swayman.

With his hot stretch of play, Swayman now has an 8-9-2 record, a 3.03 goals-against average, and a .893 save percentage. While his numbers are still not the best, he is undoubtedly improving them. He appears to have shaken the early-season rust off.
