This Bruins star had a great first game in the 4 Nations Face-Off opener.
The 4 Nations Face-Off opener between Team Canada and Team Sweden was on Feb. 12, and it did not disappoint.
After a hard-fought back-and-forth game, Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner scored the overtime winner to secure Canada a 4-3 victory over Sweden.
Boston Bruins superstar Brad Marchand undoubtedly made an impact in Canada's win as well. No. 63 scored a goal at the 13:15 mark of the first period to give Canada a 2-0 lead.
Marchand's goal was a nice one, too. After receiving a perfect feed from Tampa Bay Lightning center Brayden Point, Marchand quickly one-timed it home past Sweden netminder Filip Gustavsson.
This was an excellent way for Marchand to get his tournament started for Canada. He looked great playing with Canada's top stars, and it will be fascinating to see how he builds off this performance from here.
