Morgan Geekie to the Red Sox?
Several Boston Bruins players went to Fenway Park on Saturday to participate in batting practice.
However, one Bruins player was the standout of the day, as Morgan Geekie showed off his baseball skill in a big way.
Geekie hit a massive home run over the Green Monster, which led to plenty of cheers from those in attendance.
Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman also had a funny response to Geekie's home run.
"I'm not following that up," Swayman said. "Are you nuts?"
Seeing Geekie hit a home run out of Fenway Park is not too surprising, though. He played baseball for many years before he committed to hockey when he was late in his teen years.
Geekie is well-known for his great shot, so it makes sense that he has some real power at the plate in baseball.
Geekie is now entering this upcoming season with the Bruins looking to build of his career year in 2025-26. In 81 games last season for Boston, he set career highs with 39 goals, 29 assists, and 68 points.
Yet, Geekie can now add a Fenway Park home run to his resume.
Geekie was not the only Bruins player to hit a home run over the Green Monster, though.
Tanner Jeannot also hit a home run of his own. While it was not as far as Geekie's home run, it was still an impressive homer from the Bruins tough guy.
