This Bruins star has been named one of the biggest underachievers of the 2024-25 season thus far.

ESPN's Neil Paine recently wrote an article that discusses the NHL's biggest overachievers and underperformers for the 2024-25 season thus far.

Boston Bruins superstar David Pastrnak made Paine's list in the "All-underachiever team" section.

Pastrnak, 28, has appeared in 28 games this season, where he has nine goals, 26 points, and a minus-4 rating. Overall, these are not bad numbers, but his pace of production is certainly lower than it has been over the last several seasons.

Over his previous six campaigns, Pastrnak averaged at least a point per game. In addition, he scored at least 40 goals in each of the last three seasons and hit the 110-point mark in back-to-back years. Right now, he is on pace to finish this season with 26 goals and 76 points.

While Pastrnak's start to the season has been underwhelming for his standards, he is showing signs of bouncing back. Over his last five games, the 2014 first-round pick has seven points.

It will be fascinating to see if Pastrnak can turn things around and get his scoring totals back up to his normal totals from here.
