This former Bruin is having a nice bounce-back season with the Stars.
During the 2013 NHL Offseason, the Boston Bruins memorably traded Tyler Seguin to the Dallas Stars. The trade aged horrendously for Boston. Seguin, as expected, developed into a true first-line center in Dallas during his prime years. Meanwhile, the pieces that the Bruins got back for him did not last long and were nowhere near as impactful.
However, in recent years, Seguin's offensive production has fallen off. During the 2021-22 season, he had 24 goals and 49 points in 81 games. He then followed that up 50 points in 76 games last season. While that was not bad production, it was notably lower than what we have seen from Seguin in the past.

Fast-forward to today, and Seguin is looking more like his old self with the Stars. In 62 games on the year, he already has 22 goals and 49 points. His pace of production is notably better than in recent seasons, and the Stars are benefitting from it.
Since returning from a month-long injury last week, Seguin has been performing well, too, posting two goals and four points in four games. That is encouraging to see from the veteran forward after missing a decent chunk of time.
Nevertheless, it is good to see Seguin starting to pick up his offense again. He is showing that he is still a quality top-six forward, and the goal for him will be to maintain it from here.
