The Bruins have themselves another interesting goalie prospect.
The Boston Bruins' future in goal is bright. They signed Jeremy Swayman to an eight-year, $66 million contract at the start of the season. While he had a slow start to the year, he is starting to bounce back after shaking off the rust. They also have a solid backup in Joonas Korpisalo who has had a hot start to his Bruins tenure.
However, the Bruins also have an interesting goalie prospect in Philip Svedeback, who fans should keep a close eye on.
Svedeback, 22, was selected by the Bruins with the 117th overall pick of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. While he is more of an under-the-radar prospect in Boston's system, he is thriving in the NCAA with Providence College in 2024-25.
In 12 games this season, Svedeback currently sports a 9-2-1 record, a .922 save percentage, and a 2.28 goals-against average. He is not showing any signs of slowing down either, as he has a solid .917 SV% over his last five appearances.

During this past season with Providence College, Svedeback had an 18-13-4 record and a .900 SV%. While he was solid in 2023-24, the Stockholm, Sweden native has hit a new level this season.
It will be fascinating to see how Svedeback builds on his hot start to the season from here.
