BOSTON -- It's great to see Sophia Jurksztowicz back on the Bruins broadcast.

The host and rink-side reporter had been on a personal leave of absence since October after signing a contract extension with NESN.

Back in October, Jurksztowicz posted a statement on her social-media account, saying: "This summer I signed a contract extension with NESN and I couldn't be happier to continue my journey as your Bruins host. But due to personal reasons, I'm going to have to delay my season start with NESN and the team. I don't want anyone to worry, I WILL be okay, but right now I just need to take time away from work.

"I've received nothing but support from NESN with my circumstances and I seriously could not be more grateful to be working at NESN or more thankful for all the love from my teammates. It's only preseason, but I miss being at the rink already and I'm going to miss interacting with all of you too. You're the best fans in the world and you're my home away from home. I can't wait to be back. In the meantime, I'm always cheering."

Jurksztowicz, a massive fan favorite in Boston, announced a couple of weeks ago she would return soon and her presence on NESN Saturday was a positive sign for fans.

During the second period against the Lightning at TD Garden, NESN play-by-play broadcaster Judd Sirott said, "So glad to have you back."

Jurksztowicz responded: "Glad to be back."
