This former Boston Bruins star had a tough start.

Former Boston Bruins star goalie Linus Ullmark had a game to forget in his most recent start for the Ottawa Senators against the Florida Panthers on Tuesday night.

Ullmark allowed five goals on 16 shots against the Panthers before being pulled by Senators head coach Travis Green during the first period. The Senators ended up losing to the Panthers by a 6-3 final score and are now eight points behind the Bruins in the Eastern Conference standings.

With the Senators fighting for a playoff spot, this was a huge game for them. However, Ullmark and the Senators got blown out by the Panthers and will be looking to bounce back from here to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Following this brutal night, Ullmark now has a .886 save percentage and a 2.85 goals-against average in 43 games this season for the Senators. This was after the former Bruin had a 25-14-3 record, a 2.72 goals-against average, and a .910 save percentage during his first season with the Senators in 2024-25.

While Ullmark has had a tough season, he has the potential to turn things around. He is a very good goalie when playing at his best, and he showed this during his time with the Bruins. In 117 games over three seasons with Boston from 2021-22 to 2023-24, he had an 88-26-10 record, a .924 save percentage, a 2.28 goals-against average, and five shutouts.
