Former Boston Bruins defenseman Brandon Carlo's 2025-26 season is officially over.
While speaking to reporters, including TSN's Chris Johnston, Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube announced that Carlo is done for the season.
Carlo had a quiet season for the Maple Leafs, as he recorded zero goals and seven assists in 55 games. This is after he had one goal, nine points, 90 hits, 157 blocks, and a plus-6 rating in 83 games during this past season, split between the Bruins and Maple Leafs.
The Bruins traded Carlo to the Maple Leafs at the 2025 NHL trade deadline in exchange for Toronto's 2026 first-round pick, 2025 fourth-round pick (Vashek Blanar), and Fraser Minten. This is a trade that has already been great for the Bruins due to Minten's breakout season.
Carlo was selected by the Bruins with the 37th overall pick of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. In 617 games with the Bruins over nine seasons, he had 29 goals, 80 assists, 109 points, 949 hits, and a plus-129 rating.
