This former Bruins rival has finally secured the Stanley Cup.

Jake DeBrusk and Charlie Coyle were The Hockey News picks for the mid-season Selke Trophy.

The Florida Panthers may have lost their 3-0 series lead over the Edmonton Oilers in the Stanley Cup Final, but that now does not matter at all. The Panthers got the job done in Game 7, defeating the Oilers by a 2-1 final score. With this, the Cats have secured their first Stanley Cup in franchise history.

With the Panthers winning the series, a former big-time Bruins enemy— Roberto Luongo — has finally lifted the Stanley Cup.

While Luongo's playing days are done, he now works for the Panthers' front office, so he finally got his opportunity to lift the Stanley Cup.

The Bruins memorably took away Luongo's chance to do this in 2011 while the Vancouver Canucks, as the B's had his number big time. In seven starts against the Bruins that series, he had a .891 SV% and 3.41 GAA. Furthermore, while he had two shutouts against the Bruins in the series, he allowed 20 total goals in his five other games.

While Luongo couldn't get it done as a player, he can now say he is officially a Stanley Cup champ.
