A former Boston Bruins prospect has found his new home.
The Milwaukee Admirals have announced that they have signed former Bruins forward John Farinacci to an AHL contract for the 2026-27 season.
Farinacci spent each of the last three seasons with the Bruins organization after signing an entry-level contract with the Original Six club during the 2023 NHL off-season. This was after he completed his collegiate career with Harvard.
Farinacci the majority of his time with the Bruins organization down in the AHL. In 197 games over three seasons with the Providence Bruins, he posted 31 goals, 64 assists, 95 points, and a plus-4 rating. He also appeared in 16 playoff games with Providence over that span, recording two goals and four points.
Yet, the Bruins decided to move on from Farinacci this off-season after he had a down year with Providence in 2025-26. In 68 games with Providence this past season, he recorded nine goals and 19 points. This was after he had 10 goals and 38 points in 58 games with the AHL club in 2024-25.
Farinacci played in one game for Boston during the 2024-25 season, and it certainly came with a memorable moment. The Red Bank, New Jersey native scored a nice goal in his lone game as a Boston Bruin.
Now, Farinacci will be looking to impress on his AHL deal with the Admirals from here. If he performs well, perhaps it could open the door for him to get another NHL contract in the future.
