The Dallas Stars have announced that former Boston Bruins forward Tyler Seguin is undergoing hip surgery and will be out for the next four to six months because of it.
This timeline undoubtedly puts Seguin's season in jeopardy. If it takes him a minimum of four months to recover, he will return during the final portion of the regular season. However, if his recovery takes the maximum amount of time, he would not be good enough to go until June.

This is such a brutal blow for Seguin, as even with his ongoing injury trouble, he was having an excellent season. In 19 games, the 2010 second-overall pick has nine goals, 20 points, and a plus-14 rating. However, this could end up being where his regular season ends, at a minimum.
