The Boston Bruins will play the second game of their back-to-back Tuesday night against the Arizona Coyotes at Mullet Arena for a 9 p.m. puck drop.
The B’s are coming off a 4-3 shootout loss against the Colorado Avalanche Monday night at Ball Arena where Brad Marchand scored twice, Johnny Beecher netted his first goal since November and Jeremy Swayman made 33 saves.
Boston lost Brandon Carlo midway through the second period due to an upper-body injury, and the defenseman did not return for the remainder of the matchup. Bruins coach Jim Montgomery told reporters after the game that he didn’t know the extent of Carlo’s injury.
If Carlo is sidelined against the Coyotes, Mason Lohrei will likely slot into the lineup. The rookie has regularly skated on either the first pair with Charlie McAvoy or third pair with Kevin Shattenkirk. Carlo has yet to miss a game in the 2023-24 campaign.

Tuesday marks the second meeting between the Bruins and Coyotes this season. Boston won Dec. 9’s game at TD Garden 5-3 with the help of a three-point performance (two goals, one assist) from David Pastrnak.
Linus Ullmark is expected to get the start for the B’s. The goaltender has a 2.74 goals against average and .917 save percentage through 20 games and last played Saturday in his team’s 7-3 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
