The Bruins won't be dealing with this Maple Leafs star in Game 2.

The Boston Bruins will face the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday night. After winning Game 1 by a 5-1 final score, the Bruins will look to build on their momentum and take a commanding 2-0 series lead with another victory.

The Bruins will also not need to deal with one of the Maple Leafs' top forwards, as William Nylander was not on the ice during warmups and is officially out for Game 2.

This is a brutal blow for the Maple Leafs, as Nylander is one of their best players. This is also the second game in a row that Nylander had to miss due to his undisclosed injury. The Bruins will now look to take advantage of Nylander being sidelined.

Nylander, 27, played in all 82 regular-season games for the Leafs in 2023-24, posting 40 goals, 98 points, and a plus-1 rating.
