The Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens very rarely make trades due to their big-time rivalry. However, they have now struck a deal at the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.

The Bruins have traded the 69th overall pick of the 2025 NHL Entry Draft to the Canadiens for picks 79 and 108.

With this move, the Bruins must be eyeing some prospects expected to go later in the draft. Now, they have an extra pick to work with by trading down, and they will be looking to hit with No. 79 and No. 108.

The last time the Bruins and Canadiens made a trade before this one was back in 2001. The Bruins acquired defenseman Eric Weinrich from the Habs and sent blueliner Patrick Traverse the other way.
