According to The Fourth Period's David Pagnotta, the Boston Bruins are listening to calls on forward Pavel Zacha.
Zacha is no stranger to the rumor mill, as he was discussed often as a trade candidate leading up to the 2025 NHL trade deadline. However, he was one of the few notable Bruins who ended up staying put in Boston after their trade deadline fire sale.
If the Bruins trade Zacha, it would undoubtedly be a significant move. The 2015 first-round pick is an important part of their top six, and they would need to find a replacement for him if they did move him.
Zacha appeared in 82 games this past season with the Bruins, where he recorded 14 goals, 33 assists, 47 points, and a minus-8 rating. This was after he scored 21 goals and set career highs with 38 assists and 59 points in 78 games in 2023-24.
Overall, with Zacha being a key part of Boston's offense, it would need to take a very good for Boston to move him. His contract also adds to his value, as he has a reasonable $4.75 million cap hit until the end of the 2026-27 season. Due to this, the Bruins do not need to rush a potential move centering around him, but it will be intriguing to see if they do trade him this off-season from here.
