The Oilers could learn something from a Bruins team of the past.

Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final will be played on Thursday night. It is a must-win game for the Edmonton Oilers, as they are currently down 2-0 in the series to the Florida Panthers. If the Oilers lose Game 3, they would need to reverse-sweep the Panthers to win the Stanley Cup, which would be incredibly difficult.
While the Oilers are currently in a bad spot, being down 2-0 in the series, all hope is not lost. We have seen teams come back from a 2-0 Stanley Cup Final deficit in the past. In fact, Boston Bruins fans know just how possible this is, as the Original Six club memorably did so in 2011 when they stunned the Vancouver Canucks to win the Stanley Cup.

No team has come back from being down 2-0 in the Stanley Cup Final since the Bruins, but the Oilers have the potential to. When noting that they have their lethal Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl duo, they can't be ruled out just yet. However, to get back in this series against the Panthers, they must get their entire roster to heat up - just like Boston's did in 2011.
Many Bruins fans would like to see the Oilers defeat the Panthers, especially how the last two years have gone for Boston against the Cats. Let's see if the Oilers can learn from the 2011 Bruins and give a Canadian team their first Stanley Cup since 1993.
