The Bruins are among the teams reportedly interested in Flyers forward Owen Tippett.

The Boston Bruins are entering the summer with many roster needs to address. One of their biggest needs right now is a top-six winger who can put the puck in the net.

Due to this, the Bruins are now being connected to a fascinating winger on the Philadelphia Flyers.

According to Daily Faceoff's Anthony DiMarco, the Bruins are among the teams currently interested in Flyers winger Owen Tippett.

"The Flyers are not shopping Tippett by any means but are not hanging up the phone. If they were to trade Tippett, it would not be for a collection of assets, DFO was told, it would be in a 'hockey' trade," DiMarco wrote. " Among the teams who continue to show interest in Tippett are the Boston Bruins, Minnesota Wild and Utah Mammoth, DFO was told."

Hearing that the Bruins are expressing interest in Tippett is not surprising in the slightest. He would be an excellent pickup for the Bruins' second line right wing spot and would give them another scoring threat for their power play if acquired.

Tippett would also be more than a rental for the Bruins if acquired. This is because he signed through 2031-32, carrying a $6.2 million cap hit. With this, the 27-year-old would be a long-term part of the Bruins' roster if they brought him in.

In 81 games this season with the Flyers, Tippett recorded 28 goals and 51 points. He has also scored at least 20 goals in each of his last four seasons, so he would be a nice pickup for a Bruins club that needs more offensive skill.
