The Hockey News' Emma Lingan and Michael Augello break down the latest Brad Marchand buzz.

The Boston Bruins bounced back in a big way on Saturday, as they defeated the Philadelphia Flyers by a 3-0 final score. It was exactly the kind of performance they needed after losing to the Carolina Hurricanes 8-2 in their last game.

Here are three takeaways from the Bruins' impressive win now.

Joonas Korpisalo Thrives & Records Shutout

Joonas Korpisalo was the Bruins' top star in this one, as he recorded a 20-save shutout. With this, he now has his first shutout as a Bruin.

This was an excellent performance from Korpisalo, and he will now look to build on it. If he maintains this solid play, he could become a strong backup for the Bruins.

Brad Marchand Has Multi-Point Game

If the Bruins hope to turn things around, they will need Brad Marchand to heat back up. He certainly took a big step in the right direction against the Flyers, as he scored the club's empty-netter and also had an assist.

With this strong performance against the Flyers, Marchand now has three goals and nine points in 12 games this season.

The Bruins' Offense Woke Up In A Big Way

Marchand was not the only Bruin who stepped up against the Flyers, as several of their players also got on the scoresheet. Matthew Poitras and Justin Brazeau both scored goals, while Elias Lindholm, Hampus Lindholm, David Pastrnak, and Morgan Geekie each had an assist.

It is certainly encouraging that multiple Bruins broke their cold streaks against the Flyers. They will now look to keep this kind of play going against the Seattle Kraken on Sunday (Nov. 3).
