These are the best kinds of moments.
The Boston Bruins secured a big 3-2 overtime win over the Florida Panthers yesterday evening (April 6). Jesper Boqvist scored the OT winner with a beautiful snipe on the breakaway. This win is massive for the Bruins, as they now have a five-point lead over the Panthers for the top spot in the Atlantic Division.
It's always a bit sweeter when the Bruins defeat the Panthers. After last season's playoff round, these two clubs have become big-time rivals, and it was shown through their play in this contest. It was a significantly chippy game that saw plenty of hits and scrums, and that's simply the norm when Boston and Florida play one another.
Bruins fans are also not very fond of the Panthers, especially after how last year's playoffs ended. Yesterday, that was reflected in a very humorous way.
After Jonah Gadjovich was handed a high-sticking penalty, a young Bruins fan behind the glass showed his disapproval of the Panthers gritty forward. He stuck his tongue out in disgust toward Gadjovich, pretended to throw up in his direction, and then furiously shook his head no. It's pretty safe to say that this youngster doesn't particularly like Gadjovich.
