The Bruins appear to have a new trade target from the Kraken.
The Boston Bruins are one of the top teams in the NHL, and they are certainly going to be buyers at the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. One area that they are looking to improve is their forward group, and they have been connected to several forwards on the trade market because of it.
However, it appears that they have a new target on their wish list. Per The Fourth Period, the Bruins are among the current suitors for Seattle Kraken forward Alexander Wennberg.
Wennberg, 29, is a pending UFA who certainly has the potential to be shopped over these next few weeks. Due to their recent struggles, the Kraken's playoff hopes continue to decrease, and they are standing out as likely sellers.
Wennberg would be a solid addition to the Bruins' roster. When looking at a potential spot for him in their lineup, he could work nicely as their third-line center. With that, his playmaking skills would make him another option for their power play.
Wennberg has appeared in 52 games this season for the Kraken, where he has eight goals to go along with 21 points. Adding that kind of production to the bottom six would be beneficial for the Bruins. Let's see if they land him from here.
