Bruins Players Reveal Their Super Bowl Alliances

A group of Bruins players shared which team they rooted for during the Super Bowl.

Jake DeBrusk and Charlie Coyle were The Hockey News picks for the mid-season Selke Trophy.

Super Bowl LVIII proved to be quite the memorable one. The Kansas City Chiefs emerged victorious in the NFL's biggest game of the year, defeating the San Francisco 49ers by a 25-22 final score in overtime. Apparently, this final result made a group of Bruins players quite happy.

Bruins forward Jakub Lauko posted a picture on his Instagram story of him, Bruins captain Brad Marchand, and star goaltender Linus Ullmark rocking Chiefs tee shirts with Taylor Swift on them. Lauko also captioned his IG story with 'TEAM SWIFT.'

Clearly, the singer's connection to the team played a role in this trio's fandom. Swift, of course, started a relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce during the beginning stages of the NFL season. Since then, their relationship has become quite the topic of conversation.

Nevertheless, these three and the rest of the Bruins will now look to follow the Chiefs by example and get back on track after an ugly 3-0 loss to the Washington Capitals over the weekend. They will get back on the ice tomorrow night against the Tampa Bay Lightning at TD Garden.
