The Buffalo Sabres will face off against the Carolina Hurricanes on Feb. 27. After winning each of their last two games, the Sabres will look to extend their streak to three games from here.
However, there is a chance that the Sabres could be without one of their top players against the Hurricanes. While speaking to reporters, Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff said that forward Jason Zucker is a game-time decision.
Zucker notably blocked a shot with his foot in the Sabres' Feb. 22 contest against the New York Rangers.
It would certainly be tough for the Sabres if Zucker ends up needing to sit against the Hurricanes, as he is one of their top players. In 54 games this season, the 33-year-old winger has 18 goals, 44 points, and a plus-4 rating.
If Zucker is not good to go, forward Sam Lafferty will likely replace him in the lineup. In 39 games this season, he has two goals, five points, and a minus-6 rating.
