The Buffalo Sabres will have one of the busier exhibition schedules in the NHL next season, as the club will play six exhibition games in North America as well as taking part in the NHL Global Series in Germany in late September. The club announced their preseason schedule on Monday, which includes three home games at Key Bank Center.

The exhibition schedule will begin at home on Saturday, September 21 against the Pittsburgh Penguins, and on Monday, September 23 against the Columbus Blue Jackets, before consecutive road games on Tuesday, September 24 in Pittsburgh, Thursday, September 26 against the Ottawa Senators in Kanata, ON, Friday, September 27 against Red Bull Munich (in Germany), Saturday, September 28 in Columbus, and Monday, September 30 against the Detroit Red Wings.

With the tight compacted schedule of seven games in 10 days, the Sabres are likely to maintain a large exhibition roster throughout camp, with a squad mostly comprised of their expected NHL roster heading to Europe for the Global Series. Buffalo will finish camp in Munich, Germany, and will open Red Bull Munich’s brand-new home venue, SAP Garden.

The Sabres and New Jersey Devils will open their 2024-25 regular season with a pair of games in Prague, Czechia, at O2 Arena, on Friday, October 4, and Saturday, October 5.
