On the latest episode of TSN Insider Trading, NHL insider Darren Dreger shared that Buffalo Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams is open to making a big move to improve the club's roster.

Here is what Dreger said on the matter:

"Yes, Adams is willing to consider something bigger, but he does not want to trade away any of his top young NHL talent."

It is understandable that Adams is open to making a major move right now. When looking at their group, there is no question that they could use another proven top-six winger and a solid right-shot defenseman.

In addition, it is understandable that Adams does not want to part ways with any of his important young NHL-caliber players. The Sabres are currently looking to break their 13-year playoff drought so trading a key NHL piece just does not make sense for them right now.

The Sabres have a solid prospect pool and draft picks to work with to make a potential splash. It will be intriguing to see if they end up doing just that from here.
