Hockey season may be just around the corner, but a good amount of baseball remains to be played. Due to this, some Buffalo Sabres players will be at the baseball diamond shortly.

On Sept. 7, Sabres star forward Alex Tuch will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch when the Buffalo Bisons take on the Lehigh Valley IronPigs for Hockey Day.

The Bisons' having Tuch throw out the first pitch is entirely understandable. He is one of the Sabres' best players and a fan favorite.

In addition to Tuch throwing out the first, Sabres top prospects Jiri Kulich, Noah Ostlund, and Isak Rosen will attend Hockey Day at Sahlen Field. The trio will sign autographs before the Bisons' game against the IronPigs, starting at 11:30 a.m. This will be a great chance for Sabres fans to get to know some of their brightest rising stars.
