The Calgary Flames are back in action Monday night, visiting the San Jose Sharks as they look to bounce back from a tough loss to the Colorado Avalanche.
Calgary is coming off a 5-2 loss in Colorado on Saturday night. Recently recalled goaltender Arsenii Sergeev got the start between the pipes, making his season debut after being called up from the AHL’s Calgary Wranglers.
The Flames will have another recent recall entering the lineup tonight, as forward William Stromgren is set to make his first appearance since being called up. He’ll skate on a line alongside Jonathan Castagna and Adam Klapka.
The Sharks enter Monday’s matchup with a 7-7-1 record, sitting around the .500 mark through their first 15 games of the season.
Dustin Wolf will get the start in goal for Calgary, looking to build on his last outing against the Seattle Kraken. Wolf turned aside 20 of 22 shots in a 6-2 Flames victory, earning his second win of the season.
Calgary will be looking to get back on track against a San Jose team looking to gain some consistency early in the season.
