A new goal song — a Katy Perry classic — honoured Coleman's latest tally in Calgary's 3-2 comeback victory over the Arizona Coyotes

As he walked through the dressing room following his club’s 3-2 comeback overtime win over the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday, Coleman did his best Kay Perry impersonation of Roar.
“I got the eye of the tiger …”
“Is that the worst goal song in the league?” he posed to the assembled media.
If Coleman continues lighting the lamp at his current rate, Coleman, his teammates and the Flames faithful will happily belt out the 2013 hit like a singer in residence.
Coleman’s third-period tally to kick off a comeback victory over the Desert Dogs marked his 20th of the season and fifth in a career-best four-game spree. The winger whose father referred to him as the Texas Tiger during the dads’ trip is two goals shy of his career high and has already matched his mark for points in a season, 38.
Until now, the song played after Coleman lit the lamp was Working in the Coal Mine, but a change apparently was in order — albeit to his surprise.
“It’s fun. I had a good laugh,” he said of his reaction.
“It was a hot song back in the day, I don’t know if you remember but it was on,” he added. “Me and all the girls back in the day, singing that one in the club.”
The Flames are riding a season-best four-game winning streak and Coleman, who is also tied for the league-lead with 12 third-period tallies, continues to lead the way amidst his offensive breakout.
“A lot of what he does is what we’ve seen from in the past, the checking, grinding, hard work. It’s pretty consistent,” coach Ryan Huska said. “This year, he’s gong to the net, pucks are finding him and he’s finding a way to finish.”
With a roaring good time along with it.
"I’m just trying to do whatever I can to help this team keep winning and keep pushing up the standings,” Coleman said. “And if it comes with the goal-scoring, then that’s just bonus."
